A couple of days at the edge of the San Juans. Storms moving in had us trading backpacks for a car camping trip, but we still wandered to the edge of treeline. We also settled in with hot drinks while wearing puffies, a welcome contrast to the sweltering heat in Moab earlier in the week.
Some graupel in the San Juans. From @ramblinghemlock
More time spent in our local mountains: wildflowers, alpine climbs, a cirque below the high summits, and a chance to look down on our desert home nearly 7,000 feet below. (w @ramblinghemlock )
@ramblinghemlock and I did a quick overnight camping and hiking trip at 10k feet. Cool weather, plenty of wildflowers, and a favorite place to escape the summer heat of Moab.
Apparently, I’m a “grandfather from Austin” in an AI slop video titled 'When Karens Go Off-Trail in Arches National Park – Lives Lost" about the dangers of Delicate Arch.
