A classic early season hike with exquisite views of Longs Peak.
In this rather snowy year in the northern Colorado Rockies, lower elevation hikes were more attainable.
My friends and I did the classic Twin Sisters hike with its amazing views towards Longs Peak.
On the way up, we not only saw Longs, but also a massive mud slide from the floods in Sept 2013.
And rain into a small amount of snow around 11k ft mark or so.
And at the summit, we enjoyed the view to Longs Peak. We were in the clouds a bit, basked in the sun, enjoyed the view and did not wish to go down.
But head down we did. At least eventually.
Another nice little hike while waiting for backpacking season to start in earnest.
