Two years ago this past weekend, Joan and I did a thing.
And what better way to continue to celebrate than to do what we do almost every weekend – sleep out somewhere in a wild place?
We hiked, we camped, and we enjoyed a favorite place that’s not widely known.
It’s a small tarn not listed on the map; not even a social trail leads to it.
A quiet and stunning place in our local mountains. And a place we consider special.
We brought in the evening with a stroll that provided a memorable light show.
And the chocolate cake I packed in as a surprise went over well.
We hope to spend many future August weekends together, celebrating similarly.
