The Trek published a variation of my article about my campfire romanticism. The Trek’s large audience of long-distance hikers needs to hear the message about backcountry campfires. Many thru-hikers are new to the outdoors in many ways; the idea of backpacking without a fire seems strange indeed.
I gave my usual subtle words and opinion on this issue. 😉
