We look towards the mountains for recreation at this time of the year. We love the changing of the leaves, the cool weather, and all the delights of recreating up high during this special time.
But we went to the canyons earlier this year.
It is a little early for our return to canyon country, but we received an overview of another place we plan to volunteer over the coming year.
It also allowed us to see new things in a familiar place.
Though hot during the day, the nights and mornings provide bliss with cool temperatures that allow us to enjoy the beauty of the high desert.
Perfect camping weather with the crickets chirping, the Milky Way above, and shooting stars on the horizon. We’ll need to come again during this time we often don’t think about.
