With Joan continuing to feel better but not quite 100%, some hiking and camping seemed wise the past couple of weekends.
Schlepping a full pack with cold-weather gear during this cold and wet spring did not seem wise as Joan continued to regain her energy after her bout with COVID.
Though we prefer backpacking this time of the year, some map reading and 4WD travel let us plot out some memorable routes and find some secluded campsites with lovely scenery and interesting nooks and crannies to poke around and see what we see.
We saw things both known and places not listed in common resources.
We scrambled, meandered, and walked around.
And, as almost always in the area we call home, in the paths of others.
The coming weekend looks like another wet, snowy, and potentially cold one. We’ll see what we do, but I’m sure we’ll find something intriguing in this place we call home.
Loved the scenic photos, Paul!
Thank you!
Good to read that Joan is on the mend. Love the goat petroglyphs and the pottery shard and the crude dwelling. Like you say Paul you find something of interest on every outing.
Always glad for good news and big smiles.
