@ramblinghemlock and I felt another weekend of hik @ramblinghemlock and I felt another weekend of hiking and camping seemed wise rather than pushing it too soon. We transitioned to day hiking and camping at the last minute.

 With some map reading, we plotted out a satisfying route. And with some 4WD travel, we also found a quiet spot for the second night.

@ramblinghemlock is still a bit under the weather, @ramblinghemlock is still a bit under the weather, so we took it easy today and went to the nearby @deadhorsepoint with some of the best views towards the Colorado River and also towards what people colloquially call "Thelma and Louise Point."

The snow and red rock make for some impressive views, and the benches give an excellent place to take in some of the views in the warm sun.
