Ultralight Catechism: When a Toolkit Becomes Dogma
New gear we liked for 2025: Solid, reliable tools that kept @ramblinghemlock and me warm, fed, and comfortable from the desert to the mountains. A mix of DIY, cottage gear, higher-end pieces, and budget picks — just the things that worked for two people who try to get outdoors as much as they can.
Some time on the Oregon Coast with @ramblinghemlock and the family.
A little hiking in Eugene before we head to the coast.
@ramblinghemlock and I squeezed in a local hike before heading off to see family. Red rocks, ancient images, and the La Sals dusted with snow in the distance; a perfect send-off.
@ramblinghemlock and I did some more structured rambling in an area we hadn’t visited in a while. We even set a new PR one day - No more than a mile from camp and eight hours of consistent hiking!
