Local in Moab – Flu Recovery

Joan and I had to recover from the flu, so we decided to keep things local earlier this month.

We visited a place I had not seen since shortly after I moved to Moab and spent time enjoying the canyon walls and their images.

On Sunday, we walked where more than a millennium of history comes together, including, appropriate for this month, the path of the famous Buffalo Soldiers.

The Moab Museum will host a program about them starting in July that explores this lesser-known part of Utah history. They even spent time at the also historically important Elk Mountain Mission, whose location is almost in our literal backyard. I’m looking forward to this exhibit.
