Joan and I had an excellent weekend that involved Joan and I had an excellent weekend that involved our volunteer roles. .. We saw an excellent presentation on the Old Spanish National Historic Trail at the Moab Museum and then a BLM-led tour at nearby Looking Glass Rock and Casa Colorado on this historical trading route used by many generations before and after. .. We then went camping at points south, took our first fall trip into canyon country, and checked on some sites we monitor. This was an excellent start for the canyon season. .. @ramblinghemlock did some volunteer-related work y @ramblinghemlock did some volunteer-related work yesterday, and I cleaned, sorted, and restocked gear and supplies after my river trip. Today, however, we checked on one of the sites we monitor and took advantage of the cool morning air to peek around and "see what we could see." We looked at a panel we had not seen earlier. Soon, the fall temperatures will accompany the fall season here on the Colorado Plateau, and we can return to Canyon Country for trips further into the backcountry. #utah #moab #moabutah #petroglyphs #hiking
At the last minute, I had an excellent opportunity At the last minute, I had an excellent opportunity to join on a trip along the Colorado River from Moab (Potash boat ramp) to the Bullfrog Marina on Lake Powell. .. The highlights included going through the rapids of Cataract Canyon.
