A recent post I wrote for the Gossamer Gear website about shorter thru-hikes.

At this stage in my life, I want to get out as much as I can. But taking off for 4-6 months may not be an option.

These shorter hikes often fit the bill.  My original title of this article I thought fit my current phase better  of my life better: “Time for a Walk”.  

I don’t really care about thru-hikes per se. I just want to be out as much as I can…which is never enough!
