A Thanksgiving trip to the Chaco Canyon in New Mexico.
Two days in Cedar Mesa. Camping, hiking, sunset views, canyons, and remnants of the Ancient Puebloan past.
Exploring two unmarked lesser known canyons in the Natural Bridges National Monument and Cedar Mesa.
A week of hiking, backpacking, and camping near Los Alamos. Three NPS units, a national forest, craft beer, and some delicious New Mexico cuisine.
Some time spent in southern New Mexico with the thru-hiker tribe. I also took in a visit to the nearby Gila Cliff Dwellings.
Further exploration of some areas both new to me and some old favorites.
Some hiking and backpacking in the Moab area. My friend Joan will soon be leaving the Moab area, so one last trip (for now!) had to be done.
Just a few days of enjoying basecamp in Bears Ears. I hiked, I read, I scrambled up the cliffs and just took in the views for hours at a time. Why? Because I can. 🙂
Almost a week spent camping, hiking, exploring, and enjoying both the well-known and the obscure in Hovenweep and Canyons of The Ancients National Momuments.
Part Three of the Spring Break spent with the extended Boulder clan.
