In reply to Rob of the WV. The map is in the map store. :) I do not believe in a connect the dots experience at least for most of my trip reports esp for off trail. With decent maps skills, a great route can be planned. I also do not use a GPS. Cheers!

Nice photos but where is the map? You could sketch one or just drop your GPS track into gpsvisualizer or another freeware program and this would help elucidate your route and your trip. Thanks for the report, Rob of the WV http://wildernessvagabond.com

In reply to John. Thx! I am using a Pentax K-X DSLR. Basically a digital version of the old Pentax K1000 35mm. I have an 18mm - 250mm superlens on it as well.

Sounds like a nice hike. Good writeup and photos. I love the San Juans and it’s always nice to read trip reports of that area. It’s spectacular scenery.
