Glad to hear I m not the only Target Champion wind pant snob. Love this for cross country skiing or snowshoeing. Hard to find a “wind pant” versus some over-engineered GoreTex, super-double-upside down and sideways zipper” that costs $150. Don’t need it, Wind pants.

In reply to Clifford. Thanks for your input. My experience is obviously different. Esp in the Intermountain West (dry and fluffy snow) vs. a more wet and humid area such as the Midwest.

Cheap Champion wind pants. Too cheap to pay 25 freaking dollars for. They are not worth more than %. Correct. 5 dollars! My God did I get taken! So, do not buy these wind pants. Bottom line: they su*k!

They are just generic track pants in the end. The mesh is the same found in dozens of different types over the decades.

in other words, there is nothing special about these nearly decade old pants you won’t find in similar pants avail at Wal-Mart, Dick’ s Sporting Goods, etc.

UPDATE: The snow pants referenced above look to be insulated snow pants. Quite the different beast. More like these for less than $20 shipped.

These appear to be marketed as the Target Champion snow pants or ski pants, though it’s hard to tell since they’re so dark in both photos here. And also the Target site doesn’t say what is the difference between ski and snow. And neither here nor there is there any photo of what ‘mesh’ is.

They’re going for $35 on Target’s website.
