Once I cross the RI state line, I'll be sure to work in a story or two featuring ravioli!

“a bit loud, a bit blunt, very loyal”……………yes, yes, and yes. I vaguely recall something about a catholic upbringing and a grandma who was a a great cook as well (I could be misremembering). Enjoy hiking home, Paulie!

In reply to <a href="https://pmags.com/in-the-north-country#comment-712922">Tomcat</a>.

Some purpose-built trail now and some TCTA built shelters so legal camping much easier. I don't recall Creampoke. Looks like the trail.goes east of there currently and through Coleman and Lake Franicis.

Neat little trail!

I hiked the Cohos in 2009 over the first week of September. I actually started in Appalachia and hiked the Northern Presidentials to Lakes of the Clouds and dropped down to the southern terminus. I lucked out with not a drop of rain the entire trip but somehow had wet feet most of the way in sections of beaver damage and swampy snowmobile trails that the early route followed. I’m not sure if it improved but the camping situation was interesting north of the National Forest too. Lots of questionable stealth spots. Fun trip. Do you still hike through the settlement of Creampoke?
