First Day Orientation

At past jobs during a past life, my first-day orientation meant filling out HR forms, receiving a coffee mug with a company logo on it, getting my company-issued laptop, and a new manager directing me to my cubicle.

Well, my new role is a bit different. I don’t sit in a beige box all day.  I am not going to see PowerPoint Presentations, and I doubt I’ll put PagerDuty on my smartphone.  My app of choice will be Gaia GPS instead.

I’ve traded in the beige box for red rocks. And Micah of Hike Moab and I hiked one of the routes we will be taking clients.

Devil’s Garden may not be quite as well-known as the Fiery Furnace and Delicate Arch, but it is a popular route hiked by more adventurous visitors.

With quite a few arches, expansive views, and slightly off-the-beaten-path, Devil’s Garden will be my new “office” shortly.

Quite the journey since the Fall of 2017. I can’t wait to see where it goes next!
