For sure, there are many ways to give back. Joan and I also enjoy site stewarding here in Utah.

It’s a great program, with opportunities ranging from backcountry sites that require a full day of hiking down a canyon, to roadside sites, and even some locations accessed by ATV. (I appreciate that approach, as it engages a different part of the community.) I am putting a plug in for any Utah based readers interested. 🙂

We too did many hours of trail building and maintenance. But alas we are getting old and the days of carrying heavy tools several miles are beyond us I’m afraid. We still volunteer in other capacities.
