Looks like Wetherill Mesa is closed then, too, so a lot of the park is not accessible, with tours not available.

However, an hour away is Hovenweep National Monument, which is an absolute gem, and next to Canyons of the Ancients (BLM), which has some great things and a fantastic visitor center too

I have been to Mesa Verde, though, so today’s post caught my eye particularly. Thanks for sharing the views of the amazing places you visit! Also, the bird in the last photo appears to be deep in thought, surveying his domain. But he might just be thinking about lunch.
