Your new picture appears to show that your blaze orange thermal has thumb holes, as well as a zipper (quarter zip? full zip?). I didn’t notice a link to such a product in your writeup. Could you provide more information on that product, and hopefully a link? Thanks!

I’d encourage you to watch the linked video about the effectiveness of more vs less blaze orange coverage.

A hat and a bandanna on the back of the pack do not work well by themselves. A pack cover is far safer than just a square piece of orange on the pack as well.

At the very least, wear a vest as hunters do in addition to the hat and the bandanna on the back of the pack. Again watch the Hunter Ed video. Amazing with the differences!

As an aside, I tried the “pin a bandanna” technique and it works better in theory than practice.

I use an orange under armour running cap…..it weighs 1.8 oz. It’s not truly dayglo orange ….but it is relatively bright orange If I wasn’t wearing it I’d be wearing a white one so it’s really no difference.

Pretty simple to pin a day glo orange bandana to the back of your pack also. These two things weigh about 2.8 Oz. Together.

Everyone should wear bright clothing. What you don’t want is someone to point a high-powered rifle at you to look through their scope just to see what you are…….. Frequently very long distance shots made 200 to 300 yards…..
